The first Greater Dandenong Edible Gardens Project event was held at Dandenong Community Gardens, located behind the Dandenong Neighbourhood House. Although progress was slowed by intermittent rain, the eighteen participants helped to transform the community gardens into a more productive, water efficient and people-friendly environment. The rain-breaks allowed for many organic gardening workshops, social interaction, and more time to enjoy the great food that was supplied. So what did we do, and what did we learn? |

Who would have thought that a day of gardening could be so much fun? On Wednesday 11th June a group of residents from the Willow Lodge Retirement Village (plus a few extras) discovered that you can laugh as hard as you work while you improve the planet! |

| | | | 40 Permablitzers, including over 20 new-comers, made the trip to Noble Park on the first day of Winter for an amazingly productive and educative Permablitz. It was thrilling to see that the 15 Greater Dandenong locals were joined by folk from Doveton, Mooroolbark, Reservoir, Altona, Heathmont, St Kilda, Windsor, Box Hill, Essendon, Kew and beyond, with ages ranging from 2 months old to about 80 years old!
